Gathering information for a Vocational assessment after a disability requires careful attention to detail. Assessors must collect as much information about the individual’s medical history, work history, and current abilities or limitations as possible in order to craft an effective strategy. If applicable, assessors should consider obtaining input from specialists like physical therapists, occupational therapists and doctors. It’s also helpful to obtain feedback from family members, friends or other community professionals who can help paint a full picture of the individual’s abilities and provide any additional insight that may be needed. After all of this has been gathered, assessors are better equipped to determine what kind of work is suitable for the individual and craft a personalized plan that maximizes their strengths and meets their needs.

Once our staff has completed the initial review of your file, we may reach out for more information or clarification on something provided. Once your file passed initial review you will be notified via email that your file has moved into the Report Queue waiting for assignment to our Vocational Assessment team to start your report.
